Over his 30-year career, David Nazarian has established a consistent track record of identifying opportunities ahead of the pack, actively managing those investments and executing effective monetization strategies across a diverse range of investment classes and underlying industries. Mr. Nazarian's history as a visionary investor and business builder began with his active involvement in his family's early identification of the potential for wireless communications technology that ultimately became part of Qualcomm, Inc., one of the most successful corporations in the history of the telecommunications industry.
Capitalizing on the success of Qualcomm, Mr. Nazarian focused on investment opportunities that could be utilized to diversify his family's holdings. These efforts have resulted in Mr. Nazarian controlling an asset base of operating businesses and real estate that stretch across the Southern and Western United States.
In addition to his business activities, Mr. Nazarian is extremely active in the greater Los Angeles community through a variety of civic and charitable activities. Mr. Nazarian is most proud of being honored by California State University, Northridge in 2014 with the renaming of its business school as the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.
Randy Winograd

Mr. Winograd brings over 3 decades operational, financial, and legal expertise to Nimes Real Estate. Mr. Winograd actively oversees NRE’s investment underwriting, deal structuring, and management of NRE’s assets while also leading NRE’s internal team.
Mr. Winograd began his tenure with the Nazarian family at SBE Entertainment Group (“sbe”) serving as President, founding CFO, and General Counsel where he was instrumental in managing the growth of the company from a nascent venture into a hospitality powerhouse and played a key role in more than $2 billion in projects. Before joining sbe, Mr. Winograd was Chief Operating Officer, CFO and General Counsel of a prominent production company. Mr. Winograd began his career at Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro.
Mr. Winograd currently serves on the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation Board of Directors and is also a past Director of the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans (multi-employer benefit plans with approximately $4 billion in assets) and of Film L.A., Inc. where he also served as its Treasurer and Chairman of its Finance Committee. Mr. Winograd earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration, with High Distinction, with a concentration in Finance from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Mimi Liu

Ms. Liu joins Nimes Real Estate with over two decades of experience in commercial real estate and capital markets. She has expertise in areas including finance and accounting, operations, human resources, and technology.
Prior to joining NRE, Ms. Liu was CFO of Rising Realty Partners where she developed and led the highly productive finance and accounting department, implemented new information systems, revamped business processes that led to improved efficiencies across the organization, and oversaw the growth of the company from a startup.
Ms. Liu also held senior finance and accounting positions at CIM Group, BNY Mellon, Western Asset, and Wells Fargo Capital Markets. She has managed $500 million structured private equity funds and derivatives portfolios, and a $200 million infrastructure fund.
Ms. Liu was previously honored as a Bisnow Los Angeles Power Woman for her visionary leadership in the commercial real estate industry. She earned a Bachelor of Science from UCLA, a Master of Accounting from the Leventhal School of Accounting at USC, and completed the CFO Executive Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Michael Orsak

Mr. Orsak brings over 20 years of commercial real estate investment experience to Nimes Real Estate, where he oversees the investment process (including strategy, acquisition, and asset management) for NRE’s student housing investments.
Prior to joining NRE, Michael held investment roles at both public and private real estate operating companies, including Campus Advantage and American Campus Communities. He has been involved in the acquisition and development of over $2.8B in student housing assets and has managed programmatic joint venture relationships with two of the three largest public pension plans in the United States.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Southwestern University and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a member of ULI’s Student Housing Product Council.
Phillip Nazarian

Mr. Nazarian brings eight years of real estate investing experience to the Nimes Real Estate team where he focuses on acquisitions across all asset classes, investor relations, and hotel asset management.
Prior to Joining NRE, Mr. Nazarian spent four years at CIM Group in both the investments and development groups focusing on acquisitions, asset management, and development across all asset classes.
Mr. Nazarian received a BA in both Public Policy and Philosophy at Stanford University.
Eli Nazarian

Mr. Nazarian brings six years of real estate investing experience to the Nimes Real Estate team, where he focuses on acquisitions and asset management of multifamily assets.
Prior to Joining NRE, Mr. Nazarian spent 2 years at CIM Group in their investments group. Prior to that, Mr. Nazarian spent a year in the acquisitions group at Intercontinental Real Estate Advisors- an open-ended diversified core equity fund. Mr. Nazarian, also spent over a year at Eastdil Secured in their investment banking group prior to joining Intercontinental.
Mr. Nazarian received a BS in Economics at the Wharton School of Business.
Jeffrey Magallanes

Mr. Magallanes brings four years of real estate investing experience to the Nimes Real Estate team, where he focuses on acquisitions and asset management across student housing and multifamily assets.
Mr. Magallanes graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in financial analysis and joined Nimes Real Estate upon graduation.
Grant Martin

Mr. Martin brings five years of real estate experience to the Nimes Real Estate team, where he primarily focuses on acquisitions and asset management for NRE’s student housing investments.
Prior to joining NRE, Mr. Martin spent five years with Greystar working as an analyst for the student living team. Mr. Martin worked with both Greystar owned assets, as well as fee managed assets for institutional clients.
Mr. Martin completed his education at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a B.S. in Finance from the Carlos Alvarez College of Business.
Justin Slowskei

Mr. Slowskei brings four years of real estate experience to the Nimes Real Estate team, where he focuses on accounting of multifamily and student housing assets.
Prior to Joining NRE, Mr. Slowskei spent 1.5 years at April Housing, a Blackstone portfolio company, in their corporate accounting team. Prior to that, Mr. Slowskei spent a combined 3 years in the Real Estate accounting team at Weiss Accountancy and CliftonLarsonAllen, both of which are public accounting firms.
Mr. Slowskei received a BA in Economics at the University of California, Davis.
Zach Stephen

Mr. Stephen is an analyst for the Nimes Real Estate team, where he focuses on acquisition and asset management across student housing and multifamily assets.
Mr. Stephen received a BBA in Finance at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA and joined the Nimes Real Estate team upon graduation.
